Bulldog’s Worcester Sauce is a thick sweet and sour sauce from Japan. Bulldog’s sauce is made from purees of fruits and vegetables such as apples and tomatoes, with sugar, salt, spices, starch and caramel. It commonly accompanies western-influenced yôshoku dishes such as tonkatsu (breaded pork cutlets) and korokke (a Japanese meat and potato croquette). But this sauce is certainly not limited to Japanese cuisine. You can use it as a marinade for meats and vegetables, as a grill sauce, hamburger seasoning and even for dipping.
