Description
The Good Grub Hub (TGGH) Dai Dai (citrus aurantium) is an Asian variety of bitter orange very close to Orange Bergamot. 100% Dai Dai with no sugar, additives or preservatives added to the product. The name Dai Dai (meaning several generations) originates from the fruit staying on the tree for several years if not picked. The ripe orange colour of the fruit returns to green in the spring. The Japanese use this fruit as decoration in the New Year. This is perfect for sweet and savoury applications. Perfect with alcohol too, as a marinade, mixed with soy sauce (some say its the true version of Ponzu) and in pastry. The Dai Dai has a lot of Vitamin B1, B2 and C and is very effective for stomach diseases, colds and sore throats.
