shipping & Delivery
Foodistribute is based in Sydney and as a guide, average delivery times are approximately 1-8 working days within Australia. It is important to note that orders can only be dispatched Monday to Friday. There are two different types of shipping costs and the total weight for a delivery is preferably 6kg for one carton:
(1) Standard shipping cost for dry goods:
(a) Within delivery postcodes (verify at checkout) – free delivery for order over $130
(b) Within delivery postcodes – order under $130 will incur a shipping cost of $15.00
(c) Outside of delivery postcodes – $15.00
(2) Shipping cost for chilled or frozen goods:
(a) Additional $10.00 will be charged on top of the standard shipping cost of $15.00. Therefore, total shipping cost will be $25.00. This is to cover extra handling and packing fee. Please note that chilled or frozen goods will only be posted out on Monday only.
Note 1: If you place an order online where the total weight is over 6kg, your order will be cancelled and we will subsequently issue you a refund. Please ensure the weight is no more than 6kg when you place the order. We do our best to list the weight of the item on the product title. For product with liquid, 1 litre is around 1.1kg.
Note 2: If you require a large or bulk purchase where the weight will be over 6kg, please contact us on email@example.com. The shipping cost increases by $1.50 for every kilogram above 6kg.
Note 3: If you place an order where the shipping cost totals $25.00, this means you have included a chilled or frozen item in your transaction. For chilled or frozen product, we pack them in a chill carton box and use standard courier. Hence, we may not ship product such as soft cheese (especially during summer).
* If you would like us to use refrigerated courier, this can be arranged. However, the cost starts from $55.00 (inc. GST). Please contact us if you would like us to organise a refrigerated courier.
What are your delivery methods?
Our two main delivery methods are Aramex (formerly Fastway Couriers) and Australia Post and this may change from time to time. When placing an order, please provide your mobile number and email address. This is for our courier to contact you if they have issue delivering the parcel to your property (some apartments have secured entrance). Thank you.
How long will my order take to get to me?
We work hard to ensure that your order is delivered ASAP. All orders are picked, packed and dispatched within 24 hours of the order being placed but please allow 2 working days for your order to be dispatched.
Delivery times are reliant upon normal Aramex and Australia Post delivery times and vary depending on where you live. Orders are shipped from Sydney and delivery times vary between states. On average, delivery days are between 1-8 working days within Australia after the order is dispatched. Please also note orders are only dispatched Monday to Friday.
What happens if I am not at home when my order is delivered?
A signature may be required upon delivery. Aramex and Australia Post will either leave the parcels at the front door or leave a delivery card at your door to indicate they were there. You will then need to pick up the parcel at the indicated collection point stated on the card. If you are not available to sign for the parcel or to pick up from the collection point, please arrange to send the parcel to an alternative address, such as your workplace.
If I’m not in Australia, can I place an order?
You may not be able to place an order online. However, you can contact us directly on firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss other options. Please note we do not post dairy products overseas.
