Description

Laumont’s dehydrated fairy ring mushroom (100% wild marasmius oreades). This mushroom contains a great flavour and aroma of almond in its small umbrella cap. It grows in herbs in circles called “witches’ rings”, but the magic of dehydrated fairy ring mushroom lies in the umami that makes comforting stews even tastier on cold days. Many say that when rehydrated, it regains its natural size and flavour, as if it were fresh. It consists of whole pieces of fairy ring mushroom, hand-picked by our experts and dehydrated in special dehydration ovens to preserve all their flavour and aroma. They can be hydrated on demand and kept in good condition for years. Popular in Catalan, French and English cuisine. Simply add it to soups, stews and omelettes. Keep the soaking broth, as it releases all its fragrance in hot water, and you will notice that the broth is brownish; you can also use it in the recipe you are preparing. If necessary, and if you see that there are traces of grass or soil, you can filter it.
