Organic sugar cane juice is evaporated over low heat, leaving behind a solid and then ground into a fine grainy sugar. Rapadura sugar has a sweet caramel flavour and a fine texture. It is also known as panela sugar and is an unrefined and unbleached sugar. It can be used to sweeten hot beverages, in baking and savoury dishes.
