Description
Not a novelty – a 2,500-year-old Japanese tradition. Moshio is crafted from pristine Goto Islands seawater using the ancient hiragama flat-kettle method, slow-fired over wood and enriched with seaweed during production. The seaweed imparts natural umami compounds and a mineral complexity that refined salt cannot replicate. Pale beige, lower in sodium than standard sea salt, and rich in calcium, potassium, magnesium, and iodine. A serious finishing salt.
