Whole wild candied cherries in syrup. These luscious and flavorful amarena cherries are from the province of Emilia-Romagna in Italy. The Fabbri family has been producing these luxurious wild cherries in syrup since 1905 from founder Gennaro Fabbri’s wifes original recipe. The local wild cherries which are dark red with both a sweet and slightly bitter flavor are preserved in a rich syrup made from the juice of the same fruit. You can use these special amarena cherries in place of any dish that requires ordinary candied cherries.
